Thefty Suspect in Custody

A theft suspect was taken into custody in Wake County on Monday following a police chase that ended in a crash.

Deputies spotted a truck matching the description of a vehicle involved in a recent larceny at Anfesa's Jewelers in Garner, where a necklace had been stolen. Around 3:15 p.m., they attempted to stop the truck near White Oak Road and US 70, but the driver refused to pull over, leading to a pursuit.

The chase came to an end when the suspect crashed into another vehicle near Yeargan Road. The driver was taken to the hospital with injuries from the crash, though no other injuries were reported.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
